FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE THESE SEVEN GREAT ROYAL AIR FORCE WWII DVDs IN ONE COLLECTION BOXSET

From the Battle of Britain dominated by squadrons of Spitfires and Hurricanes - the legendary 'Few' - to the Lancasters and Wellingtons of Bomber Command striking back at the heart of Nazi Germany, the Royal Air Force played a vital role in Britain's victory during the Second World War.

This seven disc DVD box set explores some of the greatest and much loved fighting machines as shown below:-

TEMPEST

Typhoon At War

A superb and totally unique film portrait of this now largely-overlooked RAF warhorse, featuring rarely seen newsreel footage, original RAF films and never-before-released archive material from the Imperial War Museum film vaults. It includes air-to-air shots, gun camera film, weapons testing and formation flying, as well as a unique wartime RAF Tempest recognition film, ground crew training film material, interviews with Tempest pilots and more.

HURRICANE

Typhoon At War

Aviation documentary examining one of the main British fighter aircrafts of World War Two; the Hawker Hurricane. Less famous than the Spitfire the Hurricane did in fact account for two-thirds of all German aircraft shot down in the Battle of Britain and served with distinction throughout all theatres of war during the conflict. Includes archive footage of the aircraft in action as well as interviews with veteran pilots.

SPITFIRE

Typhoon At War

The Spitfire is probably the most famous aircraft ever to fly. Walk-arounds show the unique technical advances that were used to develop both the Merlin and Griffon-engined marks of Spitfire. Stunning air-to-air footage including a simulated dogfight between a Spitfire and Me109, rare archive film, new aircraft production and exclusive interviews with the men who designed, built, flew and continue to fly these extraordinary aircraft.

MOSQUITO

Typhoon At War

This is the definitive film history of the de Havilland Mosquito. Using de Havilland's own archive footage as well as RAF film and stunning close up air-to-air photography, the title features the Mosquito in all of its wartime roles. Highlights include an interview with legendary RAF fighter ace John 'Cat's Eyes', ground attack strikes, carrier operations, low level 'bouncing bomb' practice runs and bomber variants.

LANCASTER

Lancaster At War

Using the best wartime film and compelling air-to-air footage of PA274 (one of only two airworthy Lancasters still flying), this title provides a fascinating look at a classic RAF combat aircraft. Highlights include aircrew interviews, dramatic footage of night and daylight raids, attacks on the Tirpitz, a 22,000lb 'grand Slam' strike and a look at the secret practice runs for the Dambusters raid.

WELLINGTON

Wellington At War

The complete story of the Wellington - produced in association with the Bomber Command Association. Highlights include rare manufacturer's archive film, the 'Wimpy' fitted with an anti-mine magnetic coil, on high altitude tests and equipped with the Dart turboprop. Also includes interviews with test pilot Jock Bruce, Head of Vickers Sir George Edwards and Barnes Wallis' assistant Norman 'Spud' Boorer, as well as pilots and crew....

TYPHOON

Typhoon At War

The first-ever film profile of the legendary WWII ground-attack aircraft, made from extensive, previously unreleased film from the IWM vaults which includes very early footage, early bomb and ditching tests, air-to-air, shoot down film from German cameras and extensive gun camera film. There are also exclusive interviews with four Typhoon pilots.
