Taking on drug dealers, gangs and organised crime, the team will stop at nothing to get the streets cleaned up. Led by corrupt Dectective Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis) the team quite often use the same brutal and criminal tactics to bring about their own idea of justice.

The Shield boasts a great cast with CCH Pounder, Walt Goggins, Michael Jace and Benito Martinez. As well as the permanent characters appearing week to week the series welcomed award winning stars such a Glenn Close and Forrest Whittaker.
