A double billing of Bob Hoskins. The Long Good Friday was the film that put him on the map. A thriller about a gangster who wants to make a last deal before he goes straight. When two of his associates are murdered and then his American partners in the deal are bombed he finds he only has 24 hours to find those who are out to get him. If he doesn't the Americans will pull out of the deal.

His performance in Mona Lisa earned Hoskins an Oscar nomination. He plays George, an ex-con who is hired as a chauffeur for a high-class prostitute. He is immersed in a sleazy underworld of drugs and crime but finds himself falling in love with the call girl. Michael Caine also stars as vice-king Mortwell.
