Who would have guessed that this film would be the start probably the most successful boxing movie series ever. Rocky launched Sylvester Stallone to fame and a long-standing film career. Winning an Academy Award for Best Picture Rocky tells the story of a down-and-out boxer from Philadelphia who gets a shot at the heavyweight title. A great film whether you're a boxing fan or not, this is an emotional action rollercoaster!

Road House

Another action-packed movie, this time starring Patrick Swayze. He plays a legendary bouncer Dalton who's called into the wild Double Deuce bar by it's owner to restore some sort of peace and order. Naturally our hero makes his presence felt by gradually getting rid of the yobs and thugs that frequent the bar. Along the way he treads on the toes of a local wealthy racketeer who decides he wants Dalton out of there. And when Dalton starts a relationship with the racketeer's ex-girlfriend, tension builds between them until it reaches a final showdown. Plenty of fight scenes and action to keep the gentlemen happy and, of course, plenty of flexing muscles and bare chest from Mr Swayze for the ladies!

Blown Away

When Boston is rocked by an enormous blast the bomb squad have no clue as to who could be behind it. The squad boss however begins to realise he knows all about the man involved. His past is finally beginning to catch up with him and there's no escaping it. With Jeff Bridges in the lead role and Tommy Lee Jones playing Irish hard man Ryan Gaerity this is film is a tense and exciting action thriller which will have you on the edge of your seat.
